I have no job experience(I passed out from the college in 2005).
I have done masters degree in computer science with 3.5 GPA. What are the chances for me to get into a good business school like Berkeley, If I have a GMAT score 710?

Which is a better idea?
Apply to the schools
or
Search for a job and get the job experience which may add value to my application.

Thank You

jgalapatt,

Thanks for your note. While your academics are solid, your best course of action is to get a job before applying to business school. The vast majority of business schools seek candidates with at least a few years of work experience. This way, the business schools can see that you will be as successful in the workplace as you are in school.

No matter which job you choose, make sure that you work hard and distinguish yourself on the job. In order to improve the odds of success, you should seek out a job that you enjoy doing and which plays to your strengths. For example, given your computer science background, you might consider a job at a technology company.

Good luck with your job search.

Sincerely,

Eliot Ingram
