How many different equations can be found?

i, j, k belonging to the set S = {0,1,2,3,4} and i + j + k = 4, and how many different equations can you make of the form x ^ i + y ^ j + z ^ k

Well, this isn't a GMAT problem ... and even if it were, it isn't well-formulated ... and even if it were, its solution involves a lot of tedious casework, so ... it's a tough sell for us. :)

I'm not sure where your problems are coming from, but I answered another one that wasn't well-formulated either (in another thread), so you might want to look for a better textbook/source.

Let me be helpful, though: this problem is basically a balls and urns problem, and you can read a lot about how to solve such problems here.
