Hello sir!
Like everyone, I wish to do my MIM from one of the best B Schools and would like to get some guidance regarding the admission process for the same. It would be great if you could help me out!
My profile:
10th standard- CGPA of 8.2 (2011)
12th standard- 91 percent (2013)
B.Tech, from GGSIP University- 78 percent (till pre final year-year of passing-2017)
Extra curricular- Very good public speaking skills, that helped me win several competitive events.
Exams- Not taken any, though I took CAT.

My question to you is, that how should I make my profile strong enough for admission to the top B Schools like HEC, ESSEC, ESCP and EBS, besides writing GMAT and IELTS?

Hey there, well besides testing, what else have you got up your sleeve?
Any internships? volunteer work? Leadership? What have you actually DONE in your leadership and public speaking?

Best,
Jon

Thanks for your reply, sir.

Sadly, I haven't done any volunteer work till now, but am just about to start.
Also, I haven't done any internship, but have applied to some general management ones and am waiting for their replies.Though, I have done 2 summer trainings as part of my curriculum of 4 and 6 weeks respectively from 2 different manufacturing companies.
Frankly speaking, as part of our curriculum, we had to develop a project in our final year. Even though I was part of a group, I couldn't display much leadership skills (negligible rather!) due to my lack of interest in technical field.

Now talking about public speaking, I have participated and won in several debate competitions, group discussions and other speaking related events.I have also learnt bit of Japanese and am planning to take up French classes now.

Do I still stand a chance for admission(MIM) to HEC, ESSEC, ESCP or EBS? I know that currently my profile is almost nothing as compared to those who actually make it to these colleges. So, what should be my plan of action according to you, sir?

Regards,
Arjun

Thanks for your reply, sir.

1. Internships: None, but have applied to several general management ones, and am awaiting their replies.Though, I did my summer training twice from 2 different manufacturing companies of 4 and 6 weeks each as part of my curriculum.

2.Volunteer work: None, but will begin soon.

3.Leadership: Honestly speaking, I haven't done something that really shows my leadership skills. But I think, I can mention that I was a prefect in school (though I wasn't!). Talking about the project that I, along with 5 other members completed as part of our college curriculum, I wasn't the leader in it.

4.Public speaking: I have participated and won in a lot of inter college debates, group discussions and other speaking related events and was once rewarded for my acting skills.

I have also learnt a bit of Japanese.

Regards,
Arjun

Hey there!
Well, given what you have written, I would say HEC is a bit of a long-shot for you. But you should apply to the other schools on your list.

I hope this helps!

Jon
