Admitted to Wharton for Class of 2015

First, I was happy I could post that I "Beat the Gmat" with a 710 score (anything 700+ is beating it right?... ha)

Second, I am now happy that I can post here that I have accepted my invitation to attend Wharton!

Anyway, if you're reading this and need advice on essays/applications/interviews, hit me up on PM.

Also if you're still in GMAT: Check out Mitch for GMAT tutoring (https://www.beatthegmat.com/mba/experts/mitch)

Really quickly basic advice:
1) Get a GMAT tutor if you're not hitting 680+ on practice test... don't be cheap if you're talking about your future
2) Get an essay consultant like Stratus Prep or Prepmba.com or someone legitimate
3) Make the process like a full-time job
4) Email a lot of current students from the schools you want to go to. I emailed like 10 from each school and had at least 3-5 from every school get back to me. We then had 1 hour phone convos (originally all supposed to be 30 min) I mentioned these people in my essays. When I went to interview, I met each student I phoned with prior to my interview. I then asked them after my interview (and after thanking them), to write a short email support letter to the ad-com on my behalf saying they met me and stating their opinion of me. I think this helped me a lot.
5) Don't listen to negative people
6) Don't think there is a magic formula to get in. Yes a 700 GMAT fills a big bucket, but its a holistic process.
7) Spend months on essays. Don't try and rush. If R2 and close and you're not finished, DO NOT apply to R3 (unless you scored a 780 GMAT+). Go for R1 next year

Ok PM me if needed for specific Q's.
