If y ≠ 0, is x/y=1/2
(1) y > 0
(2) x > 0

I think you have quated statements (I) and (II) for Q No. - 13 in the section 18 of 1000DS. For questino no. - 6 the statements are

(1) x is 50 percent of y.
(2) 0.1x = 0.05y

which are independently sufficient to answer the question.
