I think this way it goes..

Point A is ( -3, 4 ) and

from condn. 1: point E is ( 0, 4 ) and ( 0, -4 ). So we have 2 possiblilities E1 and E2.

AE1 = 3; AE2 = square root of 73.

from condn. 2: 2AE = EC which will become

2AE1 OR 2AE2 = E1C OR E2C

2AE1 = 6; 2AE2 = square root of 73;E1C=6 and E2C = 2

For condn. to satisfy, 2AE1 = E1C and hence the answer C.
