Accuracy in the Verbal section

by soni_pallavi » Thu Nov 15, 2012 2:07 pm
Hi

Could the community give tips on how to improve accuracy in timed tests??

My accuracy on separate timed sections that is Critical reasoning or sentence correction drills is ok...its just when I sit to take a timed verbal section of 41 questions that's when I am consistently getting 10 - 11 questions wrong ??

Any tips on improvement ?

Thanks

Are you timing yourself when you sit down for practice? Are you doing problems in 75 minute blocks? Practice like you will have to perform on test day.

Hi

Do you mean to space all 3 sections across 75 mins or 2 sections at a time??

* Manage your time across the entire test. Check gmatprepnow video on time management. Just google it you will find it.

* Reviewing and redoing the incorrect question will significantly improve your accuracy.

* Analyse which types of questions you are making mistakes or taking more time. Find out your weak areas and work on them continuously.

* Practice atleast 3 RC passages a day.
