how much do I need to study?

I am an average student from business background. My target for GMAT is 580. how do i need to study? I am very very scared to sit for GMAT exam. Plz help how to start?

One way to determine how much work you have ahead of you is to take a practice test (free at https://www.mba.com/the-gmat/download-fr ... tware.aspx)
Who knows, perhaps you're already scoring above 580! :-)
The further your practice test score is from your target score, the more study time required.

As far as prep goes, you might consider signing up for BTG's free 60-Day Study Guide (see https://www.beatthegmat.com/mba/gmat-guide).
This will ensure that you cover everything that the GMAT tests.
