Expanding the literary repertoire through exposure to different genres of English Literature ranging from Classics and British Literature to World Literature. The programme will orient students to critically evaluate renowned authors and their works, and in the process foster their critical faculties for analytical reading and creative writing. M.A. (English), Duration : 2 yrs. (4 Semesters) Eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam) Pass with 50% aggregate marks in Bachelor’s degree (any discipline) or equivalent. (5% relaxation to North-East states and Sikkim candidates or Defence Personnel and their Dependents or Wards of Kashmiri Migrants) (10% relaxation to outstanding Sports Persons (i.e. A or A+ category as per Sports Scholarship), Subject to verification from Selection committee* of the University) Note:-In case the applicant falls in both categories, then only one relaxation in eligibility will be given. * Selection committee will be comprising of Head (DSW), Director Sports, Dy. Dear candidate, the registrations under 2024 session are started and you can apply for admission from admission.lpu.in. In MA , you can take direct admission without any entrance test . But , if you want to reduce the programme fees, then you can apply for test . The scholarship will remain applicable till the duration of course . Last date of admission is 20th February 2024 . So , book your seat on early basis .
