typical intervention

by jain2016 » Sat Nov 28, 2015 9:34 am
Hi Experts ,

A typical intervention can have several customer interaction points such as training workshops, coaching , on the job training, and lasting from four to six months.

Experts please advise that what is wrong in this sentence.

Thanks in advance.

First, "lasting from four to six months" this part is a modifier for "on the job training" so it should not be a part of lists of customer interaction POINTS.

Second,I feel "on the job training" is not parallel to training workshops, coaching.

training and coaching are working as GERUND (you can say NOUNS) but "on the job training" is a prepositional phrase.

Mitch/Marty,

Can you please confirm the SECOND part regarding the parallelism?
Thanks & Regards

We should maintain parallelism while listing various parts of the sentence. Here, "training workshops", "coaching" , "on the job training" are working as Nouns; however, the last part is not a noun.

Can you please post the complete question so that we can help you better.
