Simple DS question

I thought the answer is (d) but apparently I got it wrong :(

any explanation?

The answer is (b) by the way

Second statement says K - L is positive,

This means K - L > 0

=> so, K > L , sufficient.

Does K>2L imply that K>L

Note that for (1), K>2L does not mean K>L.

For instance, take K=-5, and L=-4,

Thus K<L.

Since L=-4, 2L=-8

Thus K>2L
