Yes. you can do MCA after BCom but it depends on the institutes you are applying for admission to an MCA degree. Every institute has different eligibility criteria. Therefore, being an alumnus of LPU I would be sharing the eligibility criteria of an MCA at LPU with you.

To get admission, you should have passed with 60% aggregate marks in BCA or BSc (Computer Science) or BSc. (Information Technology) or any Graduation with Computer Science as a subject for three years OR B.A. or BCom. or BSc (any Graduation) with (Mathematics as one of the subjects at Graduation or 10+2 level) or equivalent. Also, you have to qualify for the LPUNEST exam conducted by LPU.

Yes, you can surely opt for MCA course after completing B. Com. The minimum eligibility requirements for MCA is that the candidate must graduate with bachelor's in science, commerce, engineering or it's equivalent degree from any recognized University or Institute.

The eligibility for the course is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in BCA or BSc (Computer Science) or BSc (Information Technology) or any Graduation with Computer Science as a subject for three years OR B.A. or B Com or B Sc (any Graduation) with (Mathematics as one of the subjects at Graduation or 10+2 level) or equivalent.
In case a student has not studied computer as a subject in graduation, then he/she shall have to go through bridge/ additional courses (subjects) which may be scheduled before the commencement of classes or along with the regular classes. Students need not pay any additional amount for bridge/ additional courses. Clearing LPUNEST is a must.
The topics dealt with in the course are Analysis & design of complex problems, Coding skills, Ethics, Communication, Societal Impact.
The student can even go to an international university that the university is partnered with.
The highest package offered was 31 LPA and the average salary was 4 lakhs.
