Profile Evaluation 720 - 2.6

by Jay2k16 » Tue Jan 05, 2016 6:10 pm
Hello guys,

I have a 720 GMAT with a 80/80 Q-V split but a 2.6 (yikes!) GPA.
I am a slightly older candidate at 30 with 5-6 years of work experience as well as a small side business start up.

On the other hand I do have solid recommends and clear career goals.
How realistic are programs like Stern,Ross,Johnson,Anderson for me? (I am under the impression that rankings only matter for top 20ish schools?)

If not I was just going to go with my local state school.

Thanks ahead of time for any input.

nice GMAT, but the GPA will be an issue, assuming you have not taken any classes since you graduated. The problem you face is convincing adcoms you have the academic commitment over the duration of an academic program. The GMAT signals you are smart enough. cheers, alex
