Profile evaluation for ISB

by hariprasad venna » Tue Jul 16, 2019 7:45 am
Hello,

I am Hari
10th - 60%
12th - 62%
BTech- 62% with backlog history of 20.

I have 4.5 years of work experience.
Started working as Risk management specialist in CTS for 3 years. My responsibilities included mentoring new hires, backup team lead, strategy making for the over all performance improvement of our team. I was rewarded and recognized 4 times for my performance & contribution for the project.

Later i joined Genpact as Quality Analyst and have worked for 1.5 years. My responsibilities included mentoring, training the associates to enhance there skill sets. I was awarded the best performer of the month once.

I took apart in national level athletic competition representing my state at All India level.

I am also associated with an NGO for lat 3+ years. which help raise funds for two orphanages locally in our city.

In case if i score 740 in GMAT would my profile be considered for ISB.

I am worried about the backlog history in my UG. i am really spectacle if i should even start preparing for GMAT with not so great academic back ground as my educational institutions will be looking for students with good academic record.

@hariprasad venna you have good work experience. Should highlight being recognized 4 times at CTS and winning best performer of month at Genpact. Since GPA is low with backlog, should try as high GMAT score as possible. 740 will put you on right path for ISB. Can also address low GPA through optional essay - was it due to medical reasons, personal emergency etc. Wish you the best
