scored 510 in gmat exam

by hitesh1411 » Sat Oct 14, 2017 5:32 am
i have completed my b.tech in computer science this year with a cgpa of 6.66 and appeared for gmat exam on 12th of this month scoring 510 with q 46 and v16 .Scoring less marks I am planning to retake the exam after 3 months of more preperation.

So what should be my strategy to score 700+ next time . And what all resorces should i use to improve my verbal score.

I am looking forward to get admission in Master in finance in below given universities

1) HEC PARIS
2)St.Galen(switzerland)#
3)Escp europe
4)Escade buisiness school
5)Mit Solan

You most certainly will need to retake as I'm sure you know. I would recommend an instructor or a class given how low your score is. There are many services like Veritas Prep that offer both in person and distance courses for your GMAT Prep

Yeah dude. Definitely a retake! If you can hit that 700, you will be good to go for any of the schools above.

First, let's not assume that everyone on here is a dude ;)

hitesh1411, your quant score is relatively strong, though if you can raise it a few points, all the better. You'll need to bring your verbal score up into the high 30s at least to crack a 700. See here: https://www.manhattanprep.com/gmat/gmat ... alculator/

You don't give us any information about how you prepared before your first exam, or what the breakdown was on practice exams, so it's impossible to give you concrete advice. Taking a class, as Dozie recommended, is probably your best bet. You'll get all of the resources you need, plus expert advice and the structure of a syllabus.

This forum is also helpful for advice on how to improve specific areas and how to create a general study plan. Search around.
