Hi Ram,
You have good credentials, but its hard to gauge your candidacy into top MBA programs based on profile/stats, as much of the decision is based on your essays, LORs, interview. That said - here is my feedback.
Overall, you are (unfortunately) in one of the most competitive applicant pool - Indians with IT/Engineering background. Therefore your biggest challenge is how to best differentiate yourself. What makes you different from the thousands of Indian applicants that will apply to the same schools with similar stats (good GMAT, solid work experience).
Also, assuming your GPA is a 2.8 out of 4.0 (US scale), its a bit low and might prevent you from getting into a top 25 program.

Thanks for the feedback. My CGPA is 2.8 on 4, i could score only 78% in my engg( unfortunately) which spoiled my CGPA. Which are the Univs which u think i stand a realistic chance. ( Am looking at Schools which have Finance as their best program, or Systems)VP_MBA_Guru wrote:Hi Ram,

Hi Ram,
Again, its really hard to say which schools you have a realistic chance because unfortunately you have a few factors against you - tough application year, Indian IT candidate, lower GPA. If you are interested in finance, schools like NYU, Duke make sense, but again, maybe out of reach this year.
