In need of some Serious Help!!!!!!

by cmaxfunk » Sun Nov 14, 2010 1:35 pm
I have been studying for the gmat for the past few months and in need of some advice as the test date nears. I am taking it Dec 4th. I took a MGMT course during the fall.

Below are my scores

MGMT1 550
MGMT2 660
MGMT3 580

Given the fluctuation an am not sure where my current gmat level would fall. Also I seem to be struggling with timing. I often find on the quant section I spend to much time trying to solve the first 10 or so questions only to get anxiety of not finishing and then race through the last 10 or so questions. I think this is why the fluction in scores. When I work through official guide problems I typically time them and get most of them correct. Execution on the actual exam differs significantly.

Would any one have an comments about a)where realistically I may fall and b)How to work on timing within the quant section.

Thanks

Why not try the GMAT Prep test to identify actually where you stand? And its my experience that if you can finish MGMAT quant section on time, you can also finish the GMAT quant too.

MGMAT Quant sections are tougher than the Quant section you're likely to see on the GMAT. As Karan has advised, take a GMATPREP .

I just took the GMAC practice ecam scoring a 650: 41Q 39V. I am taking the Gmat Saturday. Is it possible to make a move from 650-700 and would anyone have suggestions on the best way to prep the last full week of reviewing?

Thanks

It is very possible to move even higher... you should really relax in your last week. Don't try to cram info in. DO NOT take any more CATs. Limit your self to studying and strengthening what you already know.
