people vs person

by riteranj » Mon Sep 17, 2012 10:47 am
I am little confused about the complicated structure of this sentence. Is it correct sentence?

"Alan is one of the most committed people amongst the White House staff."

people or person?

So 'one' is directly connected to "amongst the White House staff" in this way you mean-

"Alan is one [of the most committed people] amongst the White House staff."

I am confused that perhaps this linking "people amongst the White House staff" is more visible.
