Usefulness of the Official Guide...

by NBaz » Sat Sep 10, 2011 4:23 pm
Just out of curiosity and to assist my study; how accurate are the questions in the official guide when compared to what is likely to be asked on the actual exam. I've been doing the problem solving questions and am sitting on about 82% accuracy at the moment. Basically, can I use this as a guide of my progress?

You have a great accuracy....OG ques's are retired official ques's and are the most precise indicator of the actual gmat also company it with Gmat prep.....

Though there level of difficulty is not more than 720....
Don't look for the incorrect things that you have done rather look for remedies....

The official guide is very useful. Most people use the official guide incorrectly. With the OG, you are attempting to learn the language and logic of the test. The difficulty doesn't really matter. You want to walk away from each problem understanding how the test maker will word and structure problems. Don't just study the material, study how they are testing you. That is the real value of the Official Guide.
