URM Profile Evaluation

1) 3 years in a BB (Deutsche Bank / Credit Suisse / Barclays) S&T role (front office)
2) GMAT: 700
3) Top 10 Public University
Major: Business Administration - Finance
GPA: 3.90
Major GPA: 4.00
Graduated 2012
4) Over 300 hours of community service after graduation, nothing too significant in college other than fraternity leadership, investment club participation, and being a teaching assistant
5) No certifications.
6) Goal of an MBA is to rebrand and transition into either real estate or investment banking (capital markets)

Male, Hispanic URM
Schools I am interested in learning about my chances for: All M7 Schools, Yale, Cornell, Tuck, NY

Hi there,

Thanks for your post. Great GPA by the way! And solid community experience... if you are able to explaining that service time and your passion for it or reasons for it in a compelling way that will be a plus as well. With your GMAT and a strong but somewhat-similar-to-others profile, while top 5 give or take (or at least HBS-GSB-Wharton) will still likely be a stretch (if you are determined, choose one just to give it a shot as you never know), the other schools will potentially be within reach IF you do a great job on essays, recommendations, interviews and really show a connection with the school as well as why you need the MBA, and what you'll bring to the class.
