If you are looking at MBA programs in the US, most will not only focus on power/energy. You will still need a "skill" area in addition to an industry focus (are you interested in financing? operations? marketing? all of the above?). Most top schools will have clubs and classes that will help you refine your skill set and find a position in your chosen industry. Not surprisingly, many of the Texas schools are strong in power/energy. But, remember, business schools are designed to give you broad exposure to business (not industry) issues.

My husband and I are both Booth graduates. He has always worked in energy and his colleagues have degrees from many different business schools.

Good luck to you!
