Trying to makeover forum header

Any thoughts on the new logo? Over the next few months I want to slowly redesign the header to make it look a little more slick...

Yeah I'm still trying to decide myself. I'm thinking though that simple is always better.

I agree that the logo is more subdued. But this is hopefully part of a cleaner new look that I am slowly implementing for the entire header.

Thoughts on the menu bar? I wanted to make the header stand out separately from the rest of the forum...
