three simple, but signifikant questions

hellou dear BEAT THE GMAT- community,

i am a new member of your forum, and as such am pretty excited. So Hello to everyone.

I didn't know if this is the right forum for my three questions, but being an unexperienced enthusiast for the GMAT has its negatives sometimes. So i would ask for your excuse, if i post in a wrong forum.

These are my three questions:

1) do you happen to know, whether i get the free 6 GMAT test, if i purchase an USED (not a brand new) Manhattan GMAT 8 strategy guides via amazon.

2) Which is the newest edition of the Manhattan GMAT 8 strategy guides (i think the 4th edition, but i am not pretty convinced)

3) Do you know how fast i get my GMAT test results. It is important because i want to write it in january, and i have to have my results until mid april. (my desired masters universities application deadline is the 30.04.2012)

Thank you in advance for your answers. I wish you all the best.

Best wishes
Dimitar Bushkalov

You get the 6 practice tests when you make a book purchase. You can get access by purchasing any single guide. They start at $24, so the product is almost free.

The 8 strategy guides are currently distributing the 4th edition. The edition isn't too important, as long as you have one that is designed for the 12th edition official guide. (You'll want them to be in sync when you start doing homework problems out of them.)

If you have an old set of books, don't dispair. The OG Archer is a great tool which for $14 can make up the difference. The main thing you need is a look up table of problems in the OG by topic. The Archer does this.

You get your GMAT test results instantaneously upon completion of the test. You will be handed a paper receipt with your score on the way out the door. This does not include your essay results, which essentially don't matter anyway. Most business schools don't even require them on the application.
Like the advice? Remember to click the "thank" button. It's my only source of gratification :)
