This question is testing PARALLELISM and PRONOUNS.

The parallel list is:
... the way in which the Ojibwa society 1. organized its labor, 2. provided access to its resources, and 3. defined rights and obligations...

B, D, and E are not parallel. Eliminate.

In C, "they" has no antecedent, as "society" is singular. The pronouns "its" also does not have a clear antecedent.

The answer is A.
