We see that line H passes through quadrants I, II, and III. If line J is parallel to line H, then it must also pass through quadrant I. However, since we are told that line J does not pass through quadrant I, we see that line J can’t be parallel to line H. Statement II is false. If line J is perpendicular to line H, it could pass through quadrants II, III, and IV only. Since it does not need to pass through quadrant I, Statement I could be true. If line J intersects line H in the third quadrant, it could pass through quadrants II, III, and IV only. So, statement III could be true also.
