Manhattan books are quite good for basics....You should also solve questions of OG to see where you stand.

Manhattan GMAT books are good to learn the concepts.

If you learn better by watching videos (like me) then I recommend GMAT Prep Now. Best videos in the market for learning GMAT basics. Money very well spent!!

Hi Bpetteway,

If you're looking to practice basic math skills, then you could also visit www.khanacademy.org

You have to be sure to limit yourself to those math subjects that are tested on the GMAT (basic algebra, basic geometry, arithmetic, ratios, exponents, etc.) and avoid the things that are not (algebra 2, trigonometry, calculus, etc.).

My basic math skills aren't a problem it's more of the way the gmat thinks. When it expects you to know about using 100 as the total population or to use a hidden number that isn't mentioned in the problem.

That's something one can get only with knowing the basics and practicing the questions. Then the most important part is to go back and analyse your mistakes (why is wrong answer wrong and why is correct answer correct). After a while you will pick up the pattern.
