Terrible at math and got a 760 with TTP :)

After I didn't do as well as I wanted to on my first test, I signed up for TTP and bought a few hours of tutoring with Jeff. I had done well on the verbal and really wanted to focus on quant, which TTP specializes in. TTP and Jeff are both amazing - my whole score went up 40 points (verbal up 3 and quant up 4) after going through this program. I'm really not good at math and the quant intimidated me a lot. When I took the test, I thought the quant section was going so badly because it seemed pretty easy to me - I think my quant skills had just gotten way better than I even realized! I really recommend this program and tutoring with Jeff or Scott. I can't recommend them enough.

The website is SO helpful - the lessons are really easy to follow and efficient. I wanted to be done before the summer and I was able to get through the short study plan and learn so much in 2 months. I had been using Magoosh before but I found myself not retaining a lot from the videos. TTP has questions after each chapter and videos on the most efficient way to solve them, which makes it really easy to practice and reinforce info. If I didn't get something or couldn't understand something even after the videos, I never had to wait more than 30 min for Jeff or Scott (the co-owners) to answer a question. They have a chat feature and respond themselves with how best to think about problems. This is super valuable because they are really experts in GMAT strategy, so they'd teach you the most efficient way to get to an answer.

Tutoring with Jeff was also amazing. Even though TTP only focuses on quant, Jeff's general advice about how to approach the test helped me with my verbal as well. I had a less expensive tutor before, but that wound up being such a waste of money. It's really worth it to pay for someone who can help with your GMAT strategy, not just generally how to solve a problem. I also found out after paying for my last tutor that they had never even taken the GMAT... Jeff and Scott are both vets at this and take a lot of pride in helping students meet their goals. Jeff was so excited for me after I got my score!

First of all, Congratulations!! That is an amazing score!

Second, if you dont mind me asking, what were you scoring in quant before TTP?
