we know that here we have a compound subject. So to show that listed four were each cited, we need all.bpgen wrote:Ted, Dan, Diane and me were all cited for contempt of court.
(A) Ted, Dan, Diane and me were all cited
(B) Ted, Dan, Diane and I were all cited
(C) Ted, Dan, Diane and I were the ones cited
(D) Ted, Dan, Diane and I were cited
(E) Ted, Dan, Diane and I was cited
Now as far as me or I is concerned, it is always easier to decide if you separate the items and try them with the rest of the sentence.
Me was cited
OR
I was cited
Hence, B is correct.

I would also go with B just because it sounds more idiomatic than D...but that is intuitive...what's the technical reason for D being incorrect?
