Practice test strategy to move forward

by rkav » Sun Mar 17, 2013 1:19 pm
Hi guys,

I just took my second Manhattan Gmat practice test. I took my first test two and a half weeks ago and scored a 550(this was without any studying or even being familiar with the types of questions/test structure). I have been studying daily for the last two weeks and just took my second practice exam this morning and scored a 600.

One thing I noticed as I looked through the results (I have not looked at each question in depth yet, just the scorecard) is that the first test I took provided me with questions all in the "300-500" and "600-700 range" and the second one I just took provided me with questions primarily in the "600-700" and "700-800" range. I am assuming this indicates improvement? Can someone please confirm that.

I have scheduled my GMAT 3 weeks and two days out from today. With that said I know there are threads/articles on best practice when it comes to analyzing tests and strategies for improvement but given my short timeline can you please suggest the best way to dissect the test I have just taken and how to efficiently use my study time to improve my score to the goal. My target score is 670-700 and my test is in roughly 3 weeks.

Thanks!

Practice test strategy is great to see the ability of yours to judge yourself about the preparation of GMAT and these tests are really beneficial for getting good score in the exams. As my brother was choosing the coaching center to get good score in GMAT so his friend give him a clue to go for Career Launcher and its a reliable institute for the coaching of Competitive Exams like MBA Programs, Civil Service exams, Law entrance, etc.
