by beatthegmat » Thu Apr 09, 2009 8:26 am
Hi Beat The GMAT Community:

Just wanted to shoot out a friendly reminder that there's one month left to submit an application for the 2009 Beat The GMAT Scholarship, co-sponsored by Manhattan GMAT and Stacy Blackman Consulting.

Submit by May 8, 2009. Details here: https://www.beatthegmat.com/scholarship.html

Good luck!

PDF?

Hi Eric,

First of all kudos and congratulations regarding the 2009 scholarships. This is a great initiative and as I missed out on this last year, I am very excited that I will be submitting my app in the coming week.

I just wanted to confirm that as per the information page, no attachments would be reviewed. However, can I complete all aspects of my application on one page and attach it as a PDF? It's easier to upload and looks better due to the formatting.

Do let me know.

Regards,
Ankit

Hi Ankit:

Attachments are only for your photo and (optionally) any proof of financial need. We would like to see the rest of your application in the body of the e-mail.

And don't worry, we're not judging by formatting. :)

All the best,

Eric

Hi There,

What sort of proof are you looking for to qualify for financial need?

Thanks,
Maryam

Just to clarify for folks, proof of financial need is optional. Not required--and need is simply one criteria we consider. This is not a need-based competition.

Folks in the past have sent in W2s and paystubs (with social security info blocked, of course).

Good luck!
