Struggling with IR

by Ganesh hatwar » Sun Nov 11, 2012 2:30 am
Hi all

IR is considered easy by many

But i struggling with this section, I am getting 1 or 2 or only 3 correct

I always run short of time in this section.

Is there any penalty for not competing the IR section on Maths and verbal

Please suggest me way to improve In IR

Kind regards

Ganesh

There is a significant penalty for not finishing a section.

Hi Jim

I take more time to understand word problems, so IR is taking time and miss out few words or details and usually get one of the two sub questions wrong,i am able to answer only 8 or 9 questions in IR

Even in run out of time in Maths and verbals sections

or make plenty of guesses during last 10 questions in maths

and in verbal last 4 to 5 questions and if i get a passage even a short one at question number 36,i find it very difficult to read and mostly guess the answers matching words from the passage

Please help with some approaches

Ganesh,

First off -- and the bold font is intentional here... THERE IS NO "CARRYOVER" EFFECT FROM IR TO QUANT/VERBAL Think of them as completely separate tests!

That said, here's a great link with some thoughts about how to best fine-tune your time management skills -- https://www.manhattangmat.com/blog/index ... nt-part-1/. Take a look, and then ping me back with more specific questions.

Best,

-Brian
