Oscillation in verbal

by moorthy76 » Fri Mar 20, 2009 10:03 pm
Dear friends,

I have been preparing for GMAT for the past 3 months. I wrote both GPREP tests and got 570 and 640 respectively. I have also attempted a few Score 800 tests also.

My problem is this: Even though i am not great in quants, i manage to get 40 - 45 in each test. However, my verbal scores are always in the 30s range. In one test, i got most of the RCs and Crs right and the real drop in the score was only because of SCs. In the next test, I got most of the RCs and SCs right and a big drop in CR. In the recent test I got Most of the Scs and CRs right and Rcs were wrong.

I not able to spot my weakness. I dont know how to practice verbal section with the results i got.

My exam date is 13 april. I need your suggestions.

My prep material:

Manhattan SC
Kaplan 800
OG 11
1000 sc and cr.
OG Verbal review.

Thanks in advance....
Best Regards,
Surya

I'd be interested to hear how you study for the verbal section, i.e.- do you spend most of your time on practice questions or do you review concepts or some mix of both?
