1. If a sequence of 8 consecutive odd integers with increasing values has 9 as its 7th term, what is the sum of the terms of the sequence?
(A) 22 (B) 32 (C) 36

Toatal is 28????

2. A family made a down payment of $75 and borrowed the balance on a set of encyclopedias that cost $400. The balance with interest was paid in 23 monthly payments of $16 each and a final payment of $9. The amount of interest paid was what percent of the amount borrowed?

(C) 14%
(D) 16%
(E) 20%

3. The price of a model M camera is $209 and the price of a special lens is $69. When the camera and lens are purchased together, the price is $239. suyog, can you please make sure to post ONE question per thread.. thanks

Q1 - Seq is -3 -1 1 3 5 7 9 11. Sum = 32

Q2 - Amount Borrowed = 400-75 = 325

Total amount paid as installments = 23*16 + 9 = 377

Total interest paid = 377-325 = 52

% int = 52*100/325 = 16%

Q3 - Total price of camera and lens when purchased separately = 209+69 = 278.

When purchased together = 239

Saving = 278-239 = 39

% Saving = 39*100/278 = 14.03 %
