when should you apply for financial aid?

Hi,
in order to apply for financial aid, does one need to wait until you get accepted to the program? or, should one submit along with the application for the program? Thanks.

You should apply for aid as soon as you have been admitted to a program. Some programs will offer scholarships and/or grants upon acceptance. The types of aid include:
1. Grants
- School-Based
- Fellowships
2. Loans
- Stafford Loans
- Perkins Loans
- School-Based Loans

3. Work Study

4. Tax Credits
- Hope Scholarship Tax Credit
- Lifetime Learning Tax Credit
5. State Aid
6. Scholarship
-Private
-Public
-School-based
