In this question we need to compare most warbler species with male and female warbler species and NOT with male and female warbler. So A is incorrect. Anyone - singular but we have "they would have advised owners" they is plural. So anyone is ruled out, instead we need to have something that is plural. People is plural and it is correct.

Anyone, anybody and anything etc are singular pronouns.

Increase and more than are redundant in A and B so ruled out. We are left with C, D and E. (E) more than doubled its circulation since then E does not include the parallelism its circulation and its advertising. So we are left with C and D. Firstly, since this event is related to past tense we shouldn't be using being (present). So we can eliminate A, B and D. Secondly, we need to have a pronoun reference for Horace Pippin and E seems the right one. C seems to be awkward with had been.

Charter vacations - plural so we need use they instead of it. Remove D and E. We are left with A, B and C. The sentence states that the something cost more than it used to be originally. That is its referring to something in the past (original cost) so we need past tense.. I will go with A.

#1. T=120 L(D)=dislike lima beans = 2/3*120=80 B(D)=dislike B = 3/5*80=48. (i.e those who dislike both L and B) We need to find those who dislike L i.e L(D) but like B. So, we know that out of those who dislike L 3/5 dislike B which implies that out of those who dislike L, 2/5th like B which is what...

#1. |x+1| = 2 |x-1| The ideal way would be to identify the critical points of the 2 absolute values and formulate the boundaries. In this case x=-1 and x=1 are the boundaries. We have to consider the following cases: When x<-1 then -(x+1)=-2(x-1) hence x=3. When -1<x<1 then (x+1)=-2(x-1) hence x=1/3...

From the information that is given: |x|=y-z means We have to consider 2 cases for x>0 and x<0. If x>0 |x|=x and If x<0 |x|=-x #1. x + y = z Hence we get, x = z - y. But we do not know if x>0 or x<0 so depending on that, if x>0 x=z-y else if x<0 -x=z-y and hence x=y-z #2. x < 0 not sufficient since w...

Sum of interior angles of a polygon = (n-2) * 180 Where n is the number of sides. Given that n < 9 #1. It states that (n-2)*180/16 is an integer. This gets satisfied only for n=6 then 4*180/16 = 45. So n=6. Hence A is sufficient. #2. It states that (n-2)*180/15 = integer. For this condition all the ...

Given that x requires avg 15 sec for one hot dog.

1. W = 24 + x
where x=3rd place finisher's consumption
We dont know how much did x totally consume.

2. W = 2x
Knowing 1 or 2 alone would not help in finding W.

Combining both we can find x and hence W could be found as well.

Hence C.)

Hi Srivatsva, I think the answer is D.) The sum of numbers from 1 to 9 = 9 * 10/2 = 45 --- (1) #1 Sum of remaining numbers units digit = 6 so, we'll have 45*3 = 135 for 3 sets of cards from which we hadn't remove any card. We are actually removing it from 4th set of 9 cards. Hence, 135 + xx=xx6 for ...

1. a/b=5/8 so a can be 5,10 etc and b can be 8, 16 etc..insufficient

2. GCD of a and b = 1 but a can be 2 or 3 and be can be 3 or 4 insufficient.

Combining we can say that a=5 and b=8 is the only value that satisfies.
