Hi, samirpandeyit62---

How did you know that AB and BC formed the straight line AC? From the diagram, it looks like a straight line, but my understanding is that we can't always assume the diagram is to scale.

Thx,

K

Hi--- Was anyone else confused like me on the wording of this problem? I had no issues with (1) being sufficient. I had originally thought D was the answer. For me the confusion was in the differences between (1) and (2) as to what counts as "every" whatever factor. Interpretation #1 (Corr...

Hi, preciousrain7---

Thx for answering my question. I'm hoping that you're right that currently the GMAT does specify which one is greater. I'm thinking that since this question is retired, maybe it was taken out of the live tests for this reason.

Diagram is misleading

Hi, I found that while the diagrams are generally helpful and accurate on the GMAT, in this particular case, the diagram was misleading. I was stuck on D (root 3) for an answer until I saw from one of the previous posts, using the 30-60-90 rule, that the "right half" of angle POQ MUST be b...

Quick Q about QR #59...wording assumption

Hello--- Here's the Q: The perimeter of a rectangular garden is 360 ft. What is the length of the garden? 1. Length = 2 * width 2. The difference between the length and wide of the garden is 60 feet. I picked A, but the answer is D - both are sufficient. I didn't think that B was sufficient because ...

I'm planning on retaking this exam in January. As for the applications, right now I'm probably going to push them off. I know the later rounds are more competitive, but I figured I have a better shot in a later round with hopefully a higher score than I do at this point.

More info

Hi, Amy--- Thanks for responding. I deleted an earlier post with all the info you cited because I worried that it was too long. Here's the info: Extracurriculars - I'm afraid I have none and realize this is a serious weakness in my application. I'm not sure how to go about this. Promotion - Yes, I'v...

Line of thinking on OG D32 - Palitito tour bus problem

Hi, All--- My line of thinking on this problem is pretty much the same as emrahinci and dingo001's: I went with B. Since the correct answer is C, I was trying to figure out why B is wrong. I didn't think the OA explanations where that great. The OA explanation says that B is wrong because "This...

I'm looking over my mistakes. Nothing really jumps out; I'm thinking my issue is just plain old-fashioned concentration.

Verbal used to be my strength...

Hi, All--- Just wondering if there's anyone out there who has also experienced this. I'm a native English speaker with historically solid verbal skills (got a 700 on the verbal part of the SATs, which were taken in '98, received a 5 on the AP English exam, aced all my humanities courses in college, ...
