My honest opinion is that you should think about taking the exam again. You definitely have an OUTSTANDING score, but it will serve you to get the quant a bit closer to the 80th percentile for the top programs.

Good luck!

You can't just 'cancel' the square and the root. You have to treat the operations separately and handle them in order.

When you have x^2 = 16, there are 2 possible answers 4 and -4

Agree with Brent. Stay away from random question banks. You need to get accustomed to the style of GMAT questions. It is better for you to rework questions you have done than scour the ends of the Internet for bad GMAT questions.

There is no preference for compared to vs. compared with. They are used in different scenarios. Here is a good write up: http://grammarist.com/usage/compared-to ... ared-with/

You have an introductory clause ending with the comma. These always introduce a noun, which is why you use 'like' in this scenario.

With percents, you will often need to know the base to understand change. If you use Gross income as 100 and test scenarios where deductions are 1 and 99, you will get 2 different changes in net income.

This makes the answer E.

Also, Statement 2 should be the deductions increased by 15 percent.

Henry- This is a very short time frame for you to expect to see any results. My inclination is that if you are aiming toward a 700+ score, you should not think about timing yet. At an upper 500 level, you have quite a bit of work that you need to do. In fact, I would stay away from the GMAT prep exa...
