The essays looked daunting at first glance, but after spending considerable time in thinking about how I want to approach each question, gradually I was able to produce content. Talking t...

To crack this problem, since the point denominations are in 2 and 5, the LCM is 10. Hence the 2's will be in multiple of 5 and 5's in multiple of 2.
Least difference between n and m will be
8 of 5's - 5 of 2's = 3
If you take the next level it becomes:
6 of 5's - 10 of 2's = 4

Solve it like this:how do you get from
"((#R^2)-(#r^2)/(#r^2))=3/1"
to
"=> #R^2=4#r^2"
=> (a-b)/b=3/1
=> a-b=3b
=> a=4b
where a=#R^2 and b=#r^2.

Got 640 ; mixed reactions on the score
Wrote my GMAT today and got 640 (Q 47 V31). I have mixed reaction to the score as I had been scoring in the 660 ~690 range in the practise tests. I was expecting a higher score for the Quant since I was able to crack most of the problems except a few for which I wasn't very sure (one of the Geometry...

[quote]Auzbee,
I checked the MGMAT explanation just now, they too say that the answer is E.
However in your first post, you gave the OA as D.

My apologies for being in a haste while replying. Let me correct my previous post on this thread.

OA is C. Even I went for E but according to GMAT Prep it is C. If you don't believe it, see the included screenshot
I think there is a typo in the option C text.
