B seems correct to me. From the stem we know that... 46 or more 10% => 10% of 1700 = 170 45 – 31 35% => 35% of 1700 = 595 30 – 16 50% => 50 % of 1700 = 850 15 – 5 65% => 65% of 1700 = 1105 4 or fewer 100% 100% of 1700 = 1700 From this we see that 225 is simply 850 - 595. So, the trip must have been ...

From the stem: Profit = Sales Price - Cost => p = s - c The asking price is what he *wants* to sell it for. If he gets his asking price(then asking price = sales price) then he will make the 40% profit, otherwise his profit will decrease. Initially, we can set up an equation like this: 4/10s = s - c...

I originally did the problem quickly just assuming that all the numbers in R were evenly spaced integers(potentially a bad assumption looking back hehe) which means that the mean = median. And if we know the first term and the last term we can calculate the mean quickly by using: (first + last)/2 (1...

What was your score the first time?

If you have the $$ and are motivated the prep class will help. I haven't taken one, but I know some people that have and they both said they were worth it.

Your target score is modest enough that I think you shouldn't have a problem.

Jim's approach is probably the quickest, but if you are just dying for a quadratic then... q, q+2, q+4 (q+4)^2 - (q+2)^2 - q^2 => q^2 + 8q + 16 - q^2 - 4q - 4 - q^2 => -q^2 + 4q + 12 Set this equal to each answer and see if it produces an acceptable answer. Multiply it through by a negative and reme...

x/11 = y + 3 => x = 11y + 3
x/19 = z + 3 => x = 19z + 3

11y + 3 = 19z + 3

y =19 and z =11.

19/19 = 1 R 0

Mahatab,

I believe it depends on the school. Some average them and some take the highest.

You REALLY need to contact the school to find out.
