So true abt the MGMAT scores. I have also observed that even 10 wrong answers gives a score of 49 !! I am sure that is not the case in the actual GMAT. I also have similar scores as you have on MGMAT. I guess I should reduce my scores by atleast 30 to 40 points to know where I am with my prep. I thi...

Yup. When 15 is divided by 18 , the remainder would be 15 (18-3).

Point (50,0) is on the circle. We don't know that centre of the circle. The centre can be (0,0) or (100,0) Looking at the statements 1 and 2 , we see negative values. Hence we can consider the centre at (0,0) Statement 1 sqrt((-30)^2 + (y)^2) = 50 solving this y = -40 or y=40 So, the points can be (...

No of subcommitees in which both of them are together =4

Total number of subcommmitees = 6C3 = 20

Hence required probablity = 4/20 = 20%
Why can't we say that the total number of subcommitees =6C3 ?

I am not able to understand clearly.

Kindly help

Since the competetion has intensified, companies would spend more money

The general narrowing of research targets has resulted in fewer patents.

Since there is a very large market , profits can still be made.

The main statement says

"...robusta beans, which are unlike arabica
beans in that their flavors is not as greatly affected by decaffeination"

This supports the statement in choice D.

prindaroy wrote:i don't understand your question. is it (3x)^0.5 - (2y)^0.5 or 3(x^0.5) - 2(y^0.5)?? Also substituting numbers won't work.
I took the second eqn as (3x)^0.5 - (2y)^0.5

Substitution should work in this case right

x= 12 and y= 2 satisfy the eqns

x-y = 10

If n is a positive integer, is the value of b – a at least twice the value of 3n – 2n? (1) a = 2n + 1 and b = 3n+1 (2) n = 3 From 1 b-a = (3n+1) - (2n+1) = n Hence 1 is sufficient Statement 2 is not sufficient because we do not know the values of a and b Hence Ans A Any decimal that has only a finit...
