Hi, was looking for advice on whether to take the GMATs again based on my current situation. I had applied last yr to 4 top schools (hbs, wharton, tuck & chicago gsb), i-viewed at all except hbs, and was dinged at each. Was thinking of applying again this yr. to different schools (nyu, columbia...

No I did mean 1.4. I had other priorities in mind besides studying. Doing an Mba was never in my future plans. Hell making it alive the next day constitued most of my days plans. Well as far as writing me off I would not be so cruel. Since my great educational experience I have worked for a packagi...

from what i understand gmat score is not the be all end all.690 is an excellent score. I am no admission consultant but I am applying to Sloan with a 1.4 grad gpa. and a 680 gmat. Pay attention to your essays and if you have strong recommendations I think you stand a competetive chance. This is jus...

Dear Stockmoose16, From the looks of your profile, I'd say you certainly have a shot at the schools on your list. While the GMAT result is a bit below their averages, my sense is that your unique professional background - if pitched properly in your essays and rec letters - could help you overcome ...

Hello, Thank you for your inquiry. I believe that your relatively low GMAT will be largely mitigated your very strong undergrad performance (congratulations!). Your unusual work experience has both pros and cons: con is what you mentioned, not high level of responsibility (I think adcoms will have ...

I applied to HBS rd1 and didn't get an interview . I frantically asked around and I've come to the conclusion that its most likely not going to happen for those that haven't gotten an interview yet. I'm sure you'll get at least an interview at HBS with a 740 GMAT. What was your undergrad GPA and wh...

Dear Stockmoose, Congratulations on your score! I'm not sure it is worth your time to retake the test at this point if you are trying to hit second round deadlines. Of course, a higher score will not hurt you if you are confident you can increase your score. But you are close to the average for you...

Just keep in Mind, Its the overall profile and not the score. I agree, GMAT plays a role but its not the only factor. What about your workex and other achievements?? If they are good than you must give a shot with 690. I'm not sure whether my work experience is good enough. I have 5+ years working ...

I did not beat the GMAT, but I did hit it pretty hard...

I just got back from my GMAT, and I'm a little disappointed with my score. I got a 690 (44Q/41V). I scored a 740 on the GMAT prep last week, and had regularly been scoring 97th percentile verbal or higher. I only scored 92nd percentile verbal on the real GMAT, and the difference between 97th and 92n...

Re: Rate problem (math issue)

SM16, It looks like you did not do any mistake. The answer should be D. Good work. Logitech, I was the one who said it should take 15 days, not 16 days. The 16 days is someone else's work. My question is, if you get 25% less shift (from 2 days to 1.5), then shouldn't it take exactly 25% more time t...
