To add to the other comments. The OG with a sumplemental book that referrences the OG will get you to a 700+ score. So if you have problem ares, like Fractions, use the MGMAT book for Fractions and learn MGMAT's way of solving the OG fractions questions. I think the books that create their own GMAT ...

I like the post's where people score low at first and then score high. It gives me hope that I can improve with effort. I look forward to seeing your wrap up report. It's good to see the super human posts, but when they score the same on their first practice test as they score on the actual test, I'...

Combo/Permutation from MGMAT
Help me out with this problem: A family consisting of one mother, one father, two daughters and a son is taking a road trip in a sedan. The sedan has two front seats and three back seats. If one of the parents must drive and the two daughters refuse to sit next to each other, how many possible seati...

Also, when you are taking practice sets, say 50 questions in a setting, time yourself. Try to achieve 2 minutes or less per question. You won't hit the limit at first, but being aware of your timing will improve your confidence durring timed practice exams, and the real thing on G-Day.

Mandatory 30 day. I'd say until you're confident you'll do better. Confidence is probably the biggest factor, after you've given the necessary study time.

Back in the hunt
It's time to go back to school. After two years of ignoring all the GMAT materials in the corner of my room, I'm ready to tackle the GMAT again. I've spent the past two years working for the derivatives shop at a bank, and now I need the MBA designation after my name to shore up my resume. Hope to b...

Your Quant performance was awesome! If you normally do well on verbal, I'd give more time to structured full length tests so you don't fizzle out on the second half. If verbal is not your thing, then you have some work to do, but I think that is still just a matter of practice. More than anything el...

Can't help now.
I've gotten a lot of requests for my audio recordings. I appreciate the interest. My problem is that I get home from work around 7PM and play with my kids for a while. Then I talk with my wife, and if I'm lucky I get in a few hours of GMAT study. I know that converting the analog tapes to digital wi...

I hope to take it the last week of August or the first week of September. I will know better next week when I have completed the OG11 and have taken a few practice tests. Last time I scheduled the test and worked to get ready, but test day came before I was fully prepared. This time I am not going t...

I find the Kaplan scores are about 100 points below my scores on Powerprep and the Manhattan Practice tests. I haven't decided what the best spacing is for taking practice test. I figure you take them when you feel you have improved. I think of the practice tests as checkpoints, but also as confiden...
