UT-Houston; Investment Banking Opportunity?
Anyone know if this is possible out of the UT-Houston program? I'm interested in Oil & Gas.
Thanks, in advance, for your insight!

Might be easier to contact webpage owner and see if they can set up a survey with a pre-set selection of school for the categories of APPLIED, ACCEPTED, MATRICULATING, and # fields accepting GMAT, GPA. This way they can plot the results. It would be very, very annoying to sort through 50 pages of pe...

Go Ahead and Accept at Backup School as you Wait for #1?
So I'm waiting for UT-Houston MBAP to provide a decision. I do not want to rush them. What are the repercussions of accepting at my back up school if I later change my mind after being accepted to my #1 choice of school? If this is generally viewed as unacceptable, how else should we deal with deadl...

I scored a 520 the first time around. I spent another month attacking my weaknesses and scored a 700 the second time.
Anything is possible.

"With all of this being said, I'm basically SOL either way right? What do you guys think?" The answer to your question COMPLETELY depends on where you intend on applying. I do think you should take the time to retake the exam because you will have a difficult time at any reputable program....

I saw that as well. My only point is that a notable person instructed me otherwise.
I remember very clearly:
"I know. Our application process can be misleading. We look at your undergraduate GPA holistically."

Brendan,
Are you applying to Mccombs for Fall 2013 entrance class?
I spoke with the director of admissions, and they do not calculate the last 60 hours. The application is misleading, as it does request this number.
Thanks.

I have a very similar scenario. I took the exam twice. Nerves killed me the first time. I noticed that with practice, I gained consistency! ROUND #1 (1.5 Weeks of Prep): -Kaplan CAT: 630 -Kaplan CAT: 620 -GMATPrep: 660 -Kaplan CAT: 600 -GMATPrep: 680 -GMAT: 520 ROUND #2 (4 Weeks of Prep): -MGMAT #1:...

Time management is MOST important! Don't spend 12 minutes on 1 question at the cost of 20+ further questions! I must be blunt: That does not make sense. Personally, I guessed on 1 or 2 (I don't remember) quantitative questions because it/they was/were just taking too much time. You can do it. Trust ...
