Hi D, Thanks for your post. Its hard to access your profile, based solely on your GPA and GMAT as much of the decision is also based on your essays, LORs, ECs, etc. That said, I think you should consider applying to a few top 15-25 schools. Unfortunately, this looks to be another ultra-competitive y...

Hi J,
It doesnt hurt to mention. I would phrase that its something you want to add to your admission file. Probably will not have an impact (as they might have already made the decision on your candidacy), but again cant hurt.

Regards,

N

T - Congrats on the promotion! During your AdCom interview, make sure you are VERY focused about your decision to enter the program. If you imply that you are wavering between the MBA and the promotion, that may indicate that you are not serious about the the program / enrolling. I would mention tha...

Hi E,
Thanks for your question. First of all, the school selector tool is more of directional guidance of schools you might be competitive for admissions.

AdCom will definitely look at grad school GPA, however they place more preference toward your undergrad GPA.

Regards,

N

Pro Athletes Getting MBAs

http://www.businessweek.com/bschools/content/jun2009/bs20090626_130035_page_2.htm interesting article... but this quote BLEW my mind!!! Sixty percent of the NBA's often extremely well-paid players are virtually penniless within five years of retiring, according to a recent Sports Illustrated report.

Hi HB, Based on your profile, you are a perfect candidate for a top-tier part time MBA program. I would look into Haas, Stern (NYU), Kellogg (Northwestern), UMich to name a few. As you know, its hard to gauge your candidacy based on profile/stats, as much of the decision is based on your essays, LORs, interview. That said - here is my feedback. Unfortunately you are in...

If you list a school, then they will receive your scores. If you are concerned with your score, you may consider waiting until after the test. however, remember that schools will see ALL of your test scores once you submit to them.

Hi I, To piggy-back off my collegues input, I am a HUGE fan of MBA Admissions Books. They are a GREAT (and cost-effective) way to get a nice snapshot of the Admission process, but also get a sense of top MBA programs. I agree, Northeast MBA programs are great feeder schools into Wall Street, but the...

Hi, I would recommend retaking the GMAT only if you believe you can score 30-40 points higher than your original score. Otherwise, will not make a significant different. Breaking the 700 mark is a good start for top programs. Most MC/IBs do not ask for GMAT scores. And once you are in the MBA progra...
