If you are looking to compare your profile to the profile of admitted candidates, look for the class profile on the school website. There you can see average gmat scores, gpa, work experience and other figures of admitted candidates.

Very good point regarding promotions, however i think that even moving to a different role in another company may be considered as promotion if you can explain why your new role is better or more senior, like moving from being an engineer in a team to managing a team (in another company).

I think you should ask whatever you want to know, except for questions that can easily be answered by reading the school's website, since it shows you didn't do your research. If you are talking to an alumnus, you can ask why he/she chose that school, what did he/she like about it etc.
