Hi
I got the answer as B but i think i took the lengthy method of checking the sq root of the number manually. it took me 1 min and if the answer 961 will be the last option then i might land up spending more than 2.5 mins....

I got the same answer but the problem i made is that
y=2x I assume that this will give me answer if i know any 1 variable. but actual exam they are expecting the tangible value (hard number) and not the equation

IMO option E (both are insufficient) logic if highest is 41 then to reject the assumption of A not sending 10 41+9+8+7+6+5 = 76 means Yes or No with first premise of highest is 41 second premise says A has send less than 12 which again gives Yes or No and if consider both at same time then if highes...

Hi
I solved using the simple principles of powers
(5^4)^y = 5^4y
(5^y)^3 = 5^3y
now
(5^4y) / (5^3y) = 5^(4y-3y) = 5^y
as per the principle of multiplication
5^3 * 5^y = 5^(3+y)

I think its simple; this uses the below mention formula
(a^2-b^2)
=(a-b)*(a+b)
