the word after Republican must be "president" not "president's" bc the republican is modifying president so A and B are out C is wordy and changes the meaning of the original sentence D is wrong bc there is no reason to use "had"...there is only one action so past tense...

"This movie was never released OR

the first one is correct bc it means the movie was never released (by a person). the second one is incorrect/illogical bc it suggests that the movie can release things.

"would have" is understood so there is not reason to repeat it. go with A

so u can always go by POE
"they" is incorrect
"previously" and "in the past" is redundant
that leaves u with E
