Is the answer supposed to be 48? 12 students, assume if each choses only one song. 12 songs= 12 students. Even if only 2 songs are chosen, if should not affect the total number of 12 students.
Therefore, 4 x 12 = 48
Maybe wrong. I am nor sure.

Sorry worked it out, saw it wrong. Sorry how did you get this ,can u break it a bit further please? => 5^x[1 - 1/125] = 124*5^y => [5^x * 124]/125 = 124*5^y 5^x[1 - 1/125] became [5^x * 124]/125 Thanks Just to clarify for others Q should be 5^x - 5^[x-3] = 124 * 5^y => 5^x - [5^x/5^3] = 124*5^y => 5...

Hi, Undertand the overall logic now. But not sure how you generated the following: For example let x = 2 then (x-1) (x+1) = 2 thus r = 2 For example let x = 4 then (x-1) (x+1) = 15 thus r = 15 Why is the remainder r =2 and 15 in these two situations? Can you please break it down into more detailed p...

Why is that? May be a silly questions to ask.
