GMAT Prep integer question (r and s)

If r and s are positive integers, is r/s an integer?

1. Every factor of s is also a factor of r
2. Every prime factor of s is also a factor of r

OA is A .

Can someone please explain why, especially with reference to the second statement?

Is sqrt((x-5)^2) = 5 - x?

1. -x|x|>0
2. 5-x>0

If m, r, x and y are positive, is the ratio of m to r equal to the ratio of x to y?

1. The ratio of m to y is equal to x to r
2. The ratio of m + x to r + y is equal to the ratio of x + y

If x and y are integers greater than 1, is x a multiple of y?

1. 3y^2 + 7y = x
2. x^2 – x is a multiple of y

XY plane

In the xy plane, does the line with equation y=3x +2 contain the point r,s?

(1) (3r + 2 - s)(4r + 9 - s) = 0
(2) (4r - 6 - s)(3r + 2 - s)= 0
