It's a thin tipped dry erase marker -- so thicker than a pen, thinner than the typical whiteboard marker. It's not so bad, I had never practiced with one before taking my test, but it does take some getting used to.

I don't think we have real plans yet, just a general "we should meet up!" thing. I probably also won't be free before 4 or so, since I have some things to get done in the afternoon. We could grab coffee/some food?

The issue with D comes with the the claim that the second statement is a claim that has been advanced in support of a position that the argument opposes. Well first, what position does the argument take? The argument claims that, "the number of new jobs created this year will fall short of last...

It just depends on the person. Are you the kind of person that needs to save up your energy for the big day or do you recharge easily? I took 5 practice tests the week preceding my exam, and I got a 760. One compromise you could make would be to do a practice CAT without the AWA. The test seems MUCH...

Looks familiar =) I think this is a strong essay that would earn you a score of a 5. The main thing I would think would push it from 6.0 to 5.0 is your justifications -- for instance: The main issue with the argument is the premises used in support of the argument. The author claims that the unmanne...

I think it varies, honestly, from person to person. The first time I took the GMAT, I scored a 700 and a 710 (or thereabouts, I don't remember exactly) on GMAT Prep a couple days before my exam. Scores a 620 on the real thing. On the other hand, the second time I took it I scored a 770 on GMATPrep 2...

A medieval manuscript called L contains all eighteen extant tragedies by the Greek playwright Euripides. Of these, ten called the “select plays,” are accompanied in L by ancient commentaries and also appear in other medieval manuscripts; this group includes some of Euripides’ best-known works, incl...

Jumping 100 points plus in one month is difficult. I'm not saying you can't do it but it's certainly going to be an uphill battle. Are your test scores in chronological or reverse chronological order? I'm curious as to what you think drove the dip in scores if they are chronological. The main thing ...

MGMAT tests purport to be accurate of your "true" score within 50 points. You could have just had a bad test - I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Honestly, no. At a 340 stage you shouldn't be doing practice tests -- a score at that level indicates that you do not understand the basics. While you may surprise yourself, I would certainly reschedule the test under those circumstances. I would go pick up a high school math book and review the fun...

If your target score is much above 400, I would reschedule. I think with just a week left and little practice/low practice test scores, you need more time to understand the basics before attempting the GMAT -- the score will go on your record.

No one can answer because no one knows the GMAT algorithm. There is a significant penalty attached to leaving things blank (which is why it's better to fly through the last 5 in 3 minutes than spend all your time on #33 and not even get to #34-37, but no one knows exactly how much it hurts you to le...

Whether they have imported or exported coal has little to do with production -- it doesn't imply that production is constant. For example, the US could produce 22 tons of corn in 2007 and 25 tons in 2008, disregarding any imports or exports. Country Q could end the year with a surplus of coal (thou...
